AltiumLive 2019: The Hat Trick
In October 2019, the third and largest AltiumLive: Annual PCB Design Summit will be held in San Diego (October 9-11) and Frankfurt (October 21-23). When we first began AltiumLive, we had a simple vision: to help PCB design engineers Learn, Connect, and Get Inspired. So, we built an AltiumLive community which included industry experts, PCB design engineers, supply chain professionals, students, and inspiring innovators that are altering the landscape of our world. And just because we thought it would be fun--we threw in an epic robot build-and-battle! Would this vision resonate with design engineers and the industry? Only time would tell when we launched the first AltiumLive in October 2017.
Almost three years later this conference has become the only one of its kind--dedicated exclusively to PCB design. It has nearly doubled in size each year, making 2019 a perfect AltiumLive hat trick. Along the way, attendees have assumed an ownership stake in the annual summit and continually inform the programming each year. (And, yes, the robots are back and better than ever!) So what does AltiumLive 2019 have in store this year? Let’s begin with University Day, which is the (optional) first day of the event.
University Day:
-
In both the San Diego and Frankfurt locations you may choose from 12 breakout sessions related to best practices in Altium Designer. This where designers can hone their design skills and receive a certificate of completion from Altium.
-
In parallel, there are two full-day courses in each location.
-
In San Diego, Rick Hartley will host a EMI Day course where he will talk about EMI and noise control.
-
Concurrently Gary Ferrari will host the DFM Day course where he will teach designers how to design for manufacturing.
-
In Frankfurt, Rick Hartley will host EMI Day again, teaching the same material as San Diego.
-
Happy Holden, a retired PCB Technologist and author of The HDI Handbook will be hosting HDI Day, a full-day course on HDI.
-
University Day will conclude with a kick-off reception with special featured guests in each location.
